🌲 North Woods Pain Relief Salve
This salve was born out of necessity, not trend.
I live with degenerative disc disease, and as someone who works with patients, I am constantly on my feet, lifting, bending, and inevitably throwing my back out. Over the years, I needed something that actually worked — something I could trust on sore muscles, stiff joints, and deep, aching pain without reaching for harsh chemicals. This is the recipe I kept coming back to.
North Woods Pain Relief Salve is a small-batch, hand-crafted topical made with intentionally chosen botanicals known for their anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and grounding properties. Each ingredient plays a specific role, and nothing is added “just because.”
What’s inside and why it matters:
• Balsam fir needles & resin – Traditionally used in northern herbalism for muscle and joint pain. Balsam helps increase circulation to sore areas while providing gentle anti-inflammatory support.
• Willow bark – Often referred to as nature’s aspirin. It contains salicin, which helps reduce inflammation and ease discomfort in a way that feels deep and steady rather than sharp.
• Mugwort – A warming herb that helps relax tight muscles and supports circulation, making it especially helpful for chronic stiffness and tension.
• Peppermint leaf – Provides a cooling, soothing sensation that helps calm inflamed tissue and brings immediate relief to overworked areas.
• Grapeseed oil – Lightweight, easily absorbed, and rich in antioxidants, allowing the herbs to penetrate the skin without feeling greasy.
• Beeswax – Creates a protective barrier that locks in moisture and medicinal compounds while allowing the skin to breathe.
This salve is especially loved for:
• Back pain
• Neck and shoulder tension
• Arthritis and joint discomfort
• Muscle soreness from work, stress, or overuse
Massage a small amount into the affected area as needed. A little goes a long way.
Every jar is made with care, intention, and lived experience — not mass production. This is the kind of remedy I use on myself, on my family, and recommend without hesitation.
